Product Description
Bosch Rexroth is a forward-thinking brand with several future-proof automation products in its product library. One of these is the MAC AC servo motor designed to create rapid-response drives with the TDM, KDS and DSC drive controllers. Its applications include robotics, machine tools, and handling equipment.
The MAC090C-1-GD-3-C/110-B-2/S013 is a permanent magnet-excited MAC model with low inertia. Rare-earth materials are used in the permanent magnets of its rotor to give this low inertia, resulting in better acceleration and deceleration. This means it has faster response times and overall cycle times. The MAC motor also has a favorable torque-inertia ratio that supports dynamic performance since the motor can respond more quickly to changes in load and direction. Its motor feedback system comprises tacho feedback and a second shaft end onto which additional components like encoders can be mounted. The encoder system detects the rotor position and velocity with excellent precision. To protect the servo motor from damage due to overheating and monitor its temperature, thermo switches are built into its windings.
With the MAC090C-1-GD-3-C/110-B-2/S013, high radial loads can be applied because of the design of its bearing assembly. This also permits the direct mounting of pinions and belt pulleys onto the shaft. Thanks to its use of lifetime-lubricated bearings, the motor’s maintenance requirements are reduced. These bearings have a nominal service life of 30,000 operating hours. The nominal speed of the MAC model is 3,000 revolutions per minute, while its centering diameter is 110mm. Its housing coat is a black prime varnish resistant to weathering, yellowing, and chalky buildup. It also protects the motor from the effects of diluted acids and lyes.
