Product Description
Bosch Rexroth’s MAC AC servo motors are high-performance servo motors with low inertia. They form rapid-response servo drives with the TDM, KDS and DSC drive controllers. Typically, they are used in robotics, handling equipment, transfer facilities, and textile machines.
The MAC090C-1-GD-3-C/110-A-2/S018 is a surface-cooled AC servo motor in the MAC series by Bosch Rexroth. Its axial surface cooling unit permits extreme loads like continuous start-stop operations with high repetition rates. Thanks to efficient heat dissipation from its stator windings to the outside wall of its housing, it displays a high overload capacity. Thermo switches are built into these windings to monitor its temperature and prevent energy losses and irreversible damage due to overheating. The housing has an Ingress Protection rating of IP 65, according to DIN 40 050. This indicates that it will not admit solid external materials or water jets sprayed at it from different directions. Consequently, it can be operated directly within the working area of the machine even under poor environmental conditions.
Electronic commutation in the MAC090C-1-GD-3-C/110-A-2/S018 provides the high cyclic load capacity it requires for operations with repeated stress cycles without failure due to fatigue. It is equipped with lifetime-lubricated bearings with a nominal service life of 30,000 operating hours. Since these bearings are pre-lubricated, maintenance requirements and costs are reduced. It also enhances the motor’s overall operational reliability. The coating of the MAC model is a black prime coat, which is resistant to weathering, yellowing, and chalky build-ups. Its heavy-duty blocking brake uses the closed-circuit principle to hold the servo axes backlash-free when the machine is disconnected from power. It has a holding torque of 14Nm.
