The shaft sealing paired to the flange ensures that this motor has an IP 65 certification. This seal efficiently prevents liquids from reaching the motor housing & shaft. Unlike the MAC 071, 090, 093, 112, & 115 models, which always have shaft sealing, the MAC 063 models accommodate optional shaft sealing depending on application needs, offering IP 50 protection when sealing is not essential. This versatility enables for adaptation based on individual working situations.
The motor additionally has axial & radial surface-cooling modules to meet a variety of cooling requirements. Axial cooling is appropriate for applications with a small footprint, since it allows effective heat dissipation without forfeiting space. Radial cooling is suggested for circumstances with significant shock loads & is ideal for small setups. The blower unit may be positioned beneath the motor shaft, to the left, or to the right, depending on the cooling demands. However, it should be noted that radial surface cooling is not available for MAC 063 motors with motor length A, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of motor layouts.
