It comes with lifetime-lubricated bearings that limit its maintenance requirements and improve its operational reliability. The nominal service life of the bearings is 30,000 operating hours. This MAC motor is equipped with integrated thermo switches in its windings and stator housing to monitor its temperature. This allows its risk-free use directly within the working area of the machine. It can be used, even under poor environmental conditions, such as the effects of coolants and soluble oil emulsions. The motor is touch-proof, dustproof, and impervious to water jets from different directions. Its housing is painted with a black prime varnish whose protective properties are effective against yellowing, weathering, and chalky buildup. There is also a standard blocking brake of 6.5 Nm torque in the motor to hold the servo axes backlash-free when the machine is powered off.
