Product Description

The MAC090A-0-RD-3-C/110-B-0/S010 from Rexroth is an AC servo motor designed for low torque applications with low power requirements. This motor offers a continuous standstill torque of 3.5 Nm while drawing a current of 11.4 Amperes. The motor requires 400 Volts AC to 480 Volts AC, 3 phases to operate at 50 to 60 hertz frequency. This motor has a special winding design which makes it great for use in grinding machines and lathe machines. The winding also has an inductance of 3.2 mH along with a resistance of 0.56 ohms allowing the rotor to run efficiently without high power losses.

This particular configuration of the MAC090 series uses a natural convection cooling method relying on its enclosure and the environment to cool down the temperature of the motor. It is recommended to operate the motor at a maximum of 45 degrees Celsius ambient temperature to avoid overheating as this model does not feature an axial blower or a radial blower fan. This motor has a centering diameter design for B05 and B14.

The MAC090A-0-RD-3-C/110-B-0/S010 servo does not feature a blocking brake and uses an incremental encoder which the users can select the configuration of by selecting the 4096 increments version of the 2048 increments version depending on their application of use. The motor also supports both single-rotation and multi-rotation encoders along with an extra encoder that can be connected on the rear of the motor as this particular model does have a double shaft end sticking out both ends. The external encoder can be powered via the provided motor power connection which is placed on top at side B of the motor facing backward.
