Product Description
AC servo motors are a class of motors that allow control of motor-driven electromechanical systems, usually by implementing a type of feedback. Rexroth Indramat is one of the leading companies known for manufacturing high-quality AC servo motors. One example of their product under the MAC series is the MAC071C-0-US-4-C/095-B-0/WI561BX. The MAC motors produced by Rexroth typically have a protection category of IP 65, insulation class F, and shaft sealing, especially for the MAC 071 series or higher. Their motors may be equipped with keyways on the output shafts or mounted with blocking brakes.
For the MAC071C-0-US-4-C/095-B-0/WI561BX, the output shaft does not come with a keyway, and no blocking brake is mounted. Furthermore, the power connector is attached to the rear side, side B, of the motor. This specific motor also comes with Tacho feedback, which allows variable adjustment of the output speed by assigning voltage values proportional to the operating speed range of the motor. The Tacho feedback comes with an incremental encoder with a Tacho voltage of 1.5 V per 1000 rpm. For the MAC071C-0-US class of motors, the motor length is of type C, the nominal speed is 2000 rpm, the pilot diameter is 95 mm, the cooling mechanism is natural convection, and the winding type is universal series.
Note, however, that for this class of motors, the specifications mentioned above and the output included in the datasheet assume permissible ambient temperature and installation conditions. For the MAC motors, the ambient temperature is from 0 to 45 degrees C, and the allowable installation level is 1000 m above sea level. If the ambient temperature and installation level deviate from these standards, the output of the motor would be reduced by a certain factor. For instance, at an ambient temperature of 55 degrees C, the load capacity of the motor is reduced to 80%. Meanwhile, at an installation level of 2000 m above sea level, the load capacity of the motor is reduced to around 80 to 85% of the normal load capacity.
