The MAC071B-0-TS-4-C/095-A-1/WI643LX/S020 is an AC servo motor manufactured by Indramat. Its maximum duty cycle time is 15 minutes. The holding brake for this module is available to generate up to 6.5 Nm of torque. The holding brake for this module can be controlled with a PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) or a Hardware Switch. To dissipate heat, this motor uses natural convection based on air circulation. This module comes with a speed rating of 3,000 revolutions per minute, which is its nominal RPM. This control system has a mass of 8.8 kg and comes with a good torque-inertia ratio to start, stop, and change its speed quickly.
The motor feedback mechanisms include tacho feedback and a mounted encoder. This control section is built with one tacho feedback, which gives a signal about the motor’s speed, as well as an estimated position of the motor’s shaft. Optionally, the motor can also be equipped with a mounted encoder by the user for precise position evaluation. This device has a thermal time constant equal to 45 min; therefore, it takes 45 min to reach 63.2% of the maximum temperature rise from starting temperature. The tacho feedback, power, and encoder cables are resistant to oil emulsions and coolants as they meet IP 65 demands. The enclosure is dust-tight (no object can get in) and can withstand a jet of water if sprayed from all directions. It is also backed by a one-year warranty.
