It is a rapid response servo motor that will work in conjunction with the drive controllers from the KDS, TDM and DSC series. They are ideal for use in textile machines, machine tools, packaging machinery, handling equipment, printing presses, robotics and transfer facilities.
The MAC071B-0-PS-4-C-095-R-0-WI517LV offers a high amount of reliability thanks to its brushless design and the lifetime lubricated bearings. The motor is housed in a completely sealed housing that is built to IP 65 specifications. This allows the motor the ability to work in the most unfavorable conditions. Not only is the housing completely sealed and features IP 65 protection but the power cord and all encoder cables and Tacho feedback cables feature this protection as well.
For protection against high-temperature damage, the MAC071B-0-PS-4-C-095-R-0-WI517LV motor features thermos switches. These thermos switches monitor the temperature of the motor constantly. They are built into the stator housing and motor windings so they work automatically to prevent any damage that may be associated with extreme temperatures.
This unit utilizes Tacho feedback for the motor feedback and uses only one. There is the option to equip the motor with an additional mounted encoder. This additional mounted encoder could work to provide position evaluation. Speed evaluation can be realized with a Tacho generator. You can also achieve position recognition this way. The tacho feedback the MAC071B-0-PS-4-C-095-R-0-WI517LV motor and all MAC series motors use are all specially designed for this series. This Tacho feedback is built into the motor.
For position evaluation, the motor can be equipped with your encoder on the second shaft end. Here you can mount either an absolute encoder or an incremental encoder.
