Product Description
The Rexroth MAC071B-0-FS-4-C/095-A-0/WI522LV/S005 AC Servo motor is a 230 Volts AC motor that features a 5 Volts DC square wave incremental encoder. The encoder on this motor has 2500 pulses per rotation meaning for it to register one complete rotation it must produce 2500 square wave pulses at the output. The current consumption of this encoder is around 150 mA making it energy efficient. For the encoder signal to be considered high the voltage reading at the output should at least be 2.5 Volts and for it to be considered low the signal voltage reading should be at most 0.5 Volts while maintaining a current of around 20 mA at all costs.
Since the encoder on this particular servo motor produces a TTL (Transistor-Transistor Logic) square wave pulse sequence, it can also produce the inverse of the square wave pulse sequence signifying the movement of the shaft in the opposite direction. The motor can maintain a speed of 2000 rpm and the maximum motor speed is determined by the DC bus voltage produced by the supply source at the motor. Depending upon the DC bus voltage at the motor, maximum torque drops at a breaking point.
The shaft sealing is secured to the flange. It prevents liquids from entering the motor housing and shaft. For applications with dirt or water jets, an output shaft with shaft sealing is necessary. In the MAC 071 AC motor series, the output shafts are always equipped with shaft sealing. The protection category for this AC motor is IP 65 since the power, tacho feedback, and encoder cables need to be kept protected from various environmental factors.
