Product Description
The MAC AC Servo motors are products of Rexroth Bosch and they are commonly used for high-accuracy applications such as machine tools, robotics, and industry applications. The MAC071A-0-HS-2-C/095-C-1 is an AC servo motor from the MAC series, having a nominal motor speed of 2000 rpm. Similar to MAC 063 series, the MAC 071 series have a pilot diameter of 95 mm. For natural convection types like the MAC071A-0-HS-2-C/095-C-1, the motor length is 212 mm. Natural convection, as opposed to axial and radial cooling, is the simplest cooling mechanism for motors since no additional cooling components need to be mounted. However, since this type of cooling does not have additional medium to conduct and dissipate heat, it is also most susceptible to motor overheating.
The MAC071A-0-HS-2-C/095-C-1 has a continuous standstill torque of 2.2 Nm and a continuous standstill current of 2.6 A. In terms of its torque-speed characteristics, torque starts to drastically fall beyond 2700 rpm. For this specific motor, standard tacho feedback is implemented. This type of feedback allows control of the output by applying a voltage that is proportional to the motor velocity. The signal is then fed to an error amplifier which compares current motor speed against the desired velocity. The speed is then adjusted accordingly to match the desired speed.
For this product, a standard blocking brake of 3 Nm is included. Blocking brakes are used to ensure the motor is stopped upon losing power. Preventive maintenance must be initiated regularly to ensure that all components of the motor work seamlessly, as the blocking brakes of servo motors are usually known to cause motor failures. For standard blocking brakes, the motor retains its original dimension mentioned above.
