Product Description
There are several applications for which the MAC motors by Bosch Rexroth are suitable. These include handling equipment, printing presses, and textile machines. They are compact servo motors with electronic commutation used to build rapid-response servo drives. To achieve this, they are combined with the KDS, TDM, and DSC drive controllers.
The MAC063C-0-MS-1-C/095-B-0/-I01000/S102 is a brushless AC servo motor in Bosch Rexroth’s MAC series. Its brushless design aids its maintenance-free operation, as it eliminates the need for brushes, which are susceptible to wear and tear with continued use. It also gives the motor a longer service life than conventional servo motors and enhances its noiseless operation. The MAC motor is fitted with lifetime-lubricated bearings that reduce the risk of motor damage by contamination or over-lubrication. Its housing is completely sealed to prevent dust ingress and multidirectional water jets with an Ingress Protection rating of IP 65 in line with DIN 40 050. This housing is also painted with a black prime varnish that protects the motor from yellowing, weathering, chalky buildups, lyes, and dilute acids.
Ready-made cables are used with the MAC063C-0-MS-1-C/095-B-0/-I01000/S102 to simplify installation. Its temperature is monitored by thermo switches built into its windings and stator housing, preventing irreversible damage due to overheating. Thanks to the rare-earth materials used in the permanent magnets of its rotor, it has low inertia. It is well-suited for applications that require high dynamics due to its favorable torque-inertia ratio. The moment of inertia of its rotor is 4.0 x 10-4 kgm2. This MAC model features the standard tacho type and can attain a nominal speed of 3,500 revolutions per minute.
