The MAC063A-0-RS-4-C/095-B-0/WI521LV is a model of the high-performance AC servo motors of the MAC series designed and manufactured by Bosch Rexroth. It is fitted with a tachofeedback for speed evaluation per tacho-generator and rotor position recognition. There is also a mounted encoder in the motor for position detection and evaluation. The centering diameter of this MAC motor is 95mm, while its rotor’s moment of inertia is 2.4 x 10-4 kgm2. This rotor is composed of permanent magnets made of special materials so that the motor has low inertia. Its suitability for high-dynamic operations is due to its favorable torque-inertia ratio. There are thermo switches integrated into its windings and stator housing to prevent irreversible damage due to overheating.
Electronic commutation is a feature of the MAC063A-0-RS-4-C/095-B-0/WI521LV that gives it a high cyclic load capacity. As a result, it is well-suited for continuous start-stop operations with high repetition rates. The motor is cooled via natural convection and supports maintenance-free operation thanks to its brushless design and lifetime-lubricated bearings. Its housing is coated in black prime varnish resistant to weathering, yellowing, chalky build-ups, diluted acids and lyes. This housing is sealed, allowing the motor’s safe use in harsh environmental conditions. According to DIN 40 050, its Ingress Protection rating is IP 65, indicating that it is touch-proof, dustproof, and impervious to water jets.
