Product Description
Bosch Rexroth manufactures the KMS02.1B-A018-P-D7-ET-NNN-NN-NN-FW servo motor with an integrated holding brake. In normal operations, the brake is used only when the KMS motor is at standstill or when performing an integrated brake test. The holding brake is electrically released and is required for the holding axis when the machine is in a de-energized state. Holding brakes should not be used to stop the servo motor during operation or for safety purposes. The KMS near servo motor connections are designed as plug connectors that allow for fast, easy, and error-free connections during mounting and commissioning. The servo motor electrical connections are systemized into two power connections that bend over the bus cables and an Optional: two connection points for connecting the communication channels. Grounding of the spindle motor housing is necessary to provide functional safety of the device and protection against contact.
The KMS02.1B-A018-P-D7-ET-NNN-NN-NN-FW is balanced with a key, and therefore the motor machine element does not require balancing. The servo motor uses hybrid cables to connect to other devices. The hybrid cable contains both power lines and control lines and is protected against external damage per EN 61800‑5‑2. A tricolor LED which displays the motor status is integrated into the motor. The diagnostic LED helps in checking if the Supply unit is switched on or off, cable connections are interrupted, Power on DC bus voltage is available, motor command is active, and a Firmware update is running. The colors displayed for the functions are Green, yellow, and red.
For easy servicing of the KMS motor, ensure that the following aspects are fulfilled; Diagnostic LED is visible, Connection points are easily accessible, and Address selector switches are easily accessible. This unit can be shipped globally with a one-year warranty period from Wake Industrial.
