The Bosch Rexroth KDV2.2-100-220/300-W1 power supply is associated with a high level of modularity. The 3-phase bridge in the power supply rectifies the 3-phase mains AC voltage. It then provides the DC high voltage for the servo drive. When the drive is in generator mode, the bleeder of the power supply module absorbs the regenerated energy and transforms it into heat. Adequate smoothing is provided by the buffer capacitance. When there is a power failure, the DC bus provides power to the signal voltages. This simply means that the electronics of the drive can function even when the generator mode is on. The KDV power supply module has a continuous regenerative power of up to 2 kW. For higher continuous regenerative power demands, there are supply modules with mains regeneration. The power supply line needs only overload protection. For this, slow-blow fuses or commercial power protection switches can be used. Six drive modules can normally be mounted to a single supply module. The signal lines are connected through plug-in terminal screws. The protection classification of the heatsink at the rear end of the device is IP 54. The drive has a protection classification of IP 10 per DIN VDE 470. The installation elevation of the power supply without reduction of nominal data is 1000 m above mean sea level. The unit has a maximum permissible relative humidity of 95% without condensation. Its permissible absolute humidity is 25 g water / m3 air. For installation of the product, the circuit diagrams of the machine builder should be used. Each drive module should be connected to the protective earth busbar of the device by a separate ground conductor.
