The KDV 1.3-100-220-300-220-380 is a power supply device that power servo drives and mains that have a continuous power output of 24 kW. The device is able to produce a continuous power output because of its effective heat removal system. The device can be installed in proximity to the heat sink that is at the back panel of the enclosure. Such an arrangement facilitates fast heat removal and only 20% of the total generated heat is left in the enclosure. The effective power output can be controlled (according to the required application) by the use of commutation chokes, transformers, and capacitance modules. The power supply operates on a 50..60 Hz connection. A three phase power supply operating between 380...460 V is required for standard operations of the device.

The KDV 1.3-100-220-300-220-380 comes with a soft start capability that protects against high inrush current in the line connection. Because of the soft start, the need for installing oversized line protection devices is removed. Line connections can be protected using simple circuit breakers and slow-blow fuses. When the KDV 1.3-100-220-300-220-380 is used, variations in line voltages have no effect on the connected drives. The voltage is automatically regulated to accommodate variations in the line voltage. The power supply has a continuous current output of 100 A when the continuous input power is 30 kVA. The device works best when the ambient temperature is in a 5 ᵒC to 45 ᵒC range.
