The Bosch Rexroth KDS01.3-100-220/300 is a versatile servo drive designed for use in machines that demand precise and fast control. The device has a heat exchanger and a heat sink attached to it. The output signals of the device tend to be timed in the pulse-width modulation stage. They are amplified through potential-free driver stages. The amplified signals that are used for driving the 3-phase bridge are constructed from 6 power transistors. The device has a rating plate attached to its housing for identification. The KDS servo drive and its supply module seem to be flush mounting equipment as defined in DIN VDE 0160. This means that they are meant to be mounted in a control cabinet. The product has a protection category of IP 10. Care should be taken to ensure that the drive is located close to the supply module. The housing of the control cabinet must ensure adequate protection against hazards in vulnerable areas. Only fully trained personnel must access the interior of the control cabinet in which the drive is mounted. The electrical connecting components are supplied by the manufacturer. The user should not use random components with the drive. The servo drive is mounted using a mounting frame on the rear wall of the control cabinet. This way, the heatsink, with its paneling, tends to jut out of the control cabinet. The control cabinet’s opening is sealed tightly with a gasket at the mounting flange. The product must be operated within an ambient temperature range of 5°C to 45°C inside the control cabinet. It should be noted that heat producing built-in parts must not be directly installed underneath the drive.
