Indramat MAC servo motors deliver high performance when used with high-accuracy servo application. For CNC machine tools used in metal machining, automotive industry, and production systems, MAC motors have effectively helped engineers control automation functions (high short-time acceleration moments, reversal of directional of rotation for same set-point polarity, rapid and clear diagnostics). To ease operation and to save the much needed operator time, MAC servo motors use the MOD programming module which eliminates the need for time-consuming calibration and adjustment procedures. To effectively and precisely control the interfaced motor, MAC motors are equipped with Indramat servo drive modules which act as the main controlling module of the attached motor.
The KDS 1.3-100-300-W1 is servo drive module manufactured by Indramat for use with MAC servo motors. The module is part of the crucial servo drive system which includes power supply modules, among other components. For optimal performance of the KDS 1.3-100-300-W1, Indramat recommends that it be flush mounted with its supply module. The module uses cold-running technology allowing it to be mounted in small housing without the need for extensive transmission of heat using costly heat exchangers. This allows the module to reach peak performance even when operated in enclosed spaces. Cooling in enclosed spaces is provided through an external fan.
The Indramat KDS 1.3-100-300-W1 has a DC link voltage of 300 Volts AC and a current rating of 100 Amperes. It belongs to the KDS series 1 model 3. The module reaches optimal performance when operated in an industrial environment with a surrounding temperature ranging from 5 degrees Celsius to 45 degrees Celsius.
