Product Description
The industrial automation space received a complete overhaul after the introduction of Indramat MAC servo motors. Designed around enhancing performance, these motors can be interfaced with high-accuracy servo applications in wood working, automation systems, production machines, among other NC machine tools. To effectively handle high-accuracy MAC motor applications, Bosch created the Indramat KDS servo drive modules. To lower costs, MAC motors have a modular design with the main components being the servo drive modules, power supply modules, and a link circuit. With a modular design, individual components can be replaced at the field lowering the downtime period.
The Indramat KDS 1.1-150-300-W1-220 is a servo drive module with cold-running technology. The module operates with a link circuit voltage of 300 Volts DC, has a current rating of 150 Amperes, and a fan connection voltage of 220 Volts AC. To offer protection to the module, Indramat recommends that it be mounted and operated in a closed cabinet. To prevent heat accumulation inside the cabinet, heat loss is directly dissipated outside the cabinet by forcing ventilation using an external fan. Note that the heatsink of the power section and fan rotor are placed outside of the control cabinet. The KDS 1.1-150-300-W1-220 is part of the Indramat KDS servo drive modules. Modules in this family act as the main controllers for Indramat MAC motors.
For the KDS 1.1-150-300-W1-220 to reach peak performance, its protective conductors and earthing connections should be radially routed from the main earthing point of the supply module. With an ingress protection rating of IP 10, the KDS 1.1-150-300-W1-220 is protected against any large parts of the body (not deliberate contact) but has no protection against liquids. This unit can be shipped globally with a one-year warranty period from Wake Industrial.
