Product Description
The KDA 3.3-150-3-D0I-W1 main spindle drive offered by Bosch Rexroth is used to control the manufacturer’s 1MB and 2AD range of motors with a continuous output of 3 to 22kW at the output shaft. The drive is controlled, monitored and diagnosed digitally with a microcomputer using a rotor position measurement of high resolution. The product is a good choice for C-axis operation and spindle positioning in numerically controlled machine tools. The device renders high internal position control through high-resolution spindle feedback or motor feedback. The unit, along with a supply module and a feed control module, can be adapted for a specific CNC machine tool task.
The spindle drive is cooled by means of a heatsink fitted on its back panel. This product must always be installed at an elevation of 1,000m over sea level to function using rated data. The device features a control panel on its front that encompasses READY and FAULT buttons, a keypad and a display to assist in fault diagnosis. The blower bus connection is located at the bottom of the unit. The drive is supported by an incremental encoder output to function as its auxiliary encoder input. This product depicts a current consumption of 1.6A at +24V load voltage.
This device weighs 17.4kg. The unit must be stored and transported between -30°C and 85°C. The drive is rated with an IP 10 protection category in accordance with DIN 40 050 specifications. The product can be operated in humid locations such as workshops in dry-warm, moderate and cold climates. The drive features protection against the insertion of objects with diameters of more than 50mm. It is not protected against water and deliberate penetration. There should be no condensation on the surface of the drive during operation. The drive is delivered in custom military-grade foam wrapping with a warranty tag for one year.
