The KDA 3.3-150-3-API-W1 is a module main spindle drive controller produced by Rexroth Indramat specifically for the control of the 1MB frameless spindle motor and the INDRAMAT 2AD asynchronous spindle motor. The KDA 3.3-150-3-API-W1 is a highly specialized drive capable of generating a power output at high as 24 kilowatts at the motor’s shaft. The major advantage of the KDA 3.3-150-3-API-W1 main spindle over most drive controller series is its ability to control industrial motors with high stiffness and over a broad speed range. Operators can provide this drive controller with additional protection by installing it into an external cabinet with a protection category of at least IP54. The controller features a special heat control mechanism, it contains an industrial motor that works to dissipate hot air out of the drive controller, this hot air is sent out of the controller through the air vents integrated into the controller’s housing unit.
The KDA 3.3-150-3-API-W1 main spindle drive controller is designed to operate with a rated current of about 150 Amperes and a continuous current of 90 Amperes.
