HVE02.2-W018N is power supply module. It is a product of Bosch Rexroth. The module is a component of a modular drive system. One HVE module can deliver power to multiple drive units. The main function of the module is to convert AC input to DC output. HVE units supply unregulated DC output. These units can be connected directly to three-phase AC mains without an intermediate isolation transformer. The input voltage rating of the HVE02.2-W018N unit is 380 to 480 Volts AC. HVE units are designed for three-phase input at 50 to 60 Hertz frequency. The DC bus voltage range is 530 to 670 Volts DC with ?10% tolerance. Continuous bleeder power of the HVE02.2-W018N unit is 1 kilowatt. The peak bleeder power is 100 kilowatts. The maximum regenerated energy is 70 kWs.
At maximum continuous output, the power loss is 250 Watts. Basic losses of the power module are 125 Watts. The power loss per kilowatt of DC bus continuous power are 7 Watt per kilowatt. Weight of the power supply module is 13 kilograms. It has an IP10 rated housing that is designed for vertical mounting. HVE units and their controllers are designed to be installed inside a control cabinet or closed housing. The module is protected against the penetration of extrinsic objects with a diameter exceeding 50 millimeters. The module is not protected against water or intentional access. The bleeder resistor in HVE units heats up during operation. Therefore materials which can be damaged by the generated heat should be at a minimum clearance of 300 millimeters to the top and 40 millimeters to the side and front of the installed power supply module.
