Rexroth Indramat manufactures the HVE02.1-W018N 2^nd generation power supply unit. It is part of the drive system where it is used to supply electricity to HDD and HDS drive controllers. It allows the operation of several drive controllers simultaneously. The power rectifier in the HVE02.1-W018N provides unregulated DC bus voltage by rectifying the 3-phase AC voltage from the mains supply. It can run in a generator mode where it produces heat via a bleed resistor. You can use it to shut down motors with a permanent magnet energizing by the short-circuit bus. Thanks to the integrated monitoring functions, it monitors and optimizes the drive system.
