The power supply is designed for use with HMS and HMD series control sections installed on drive controllers. The output voltage of the unit is 750 Volts DC and the output power is 16 kilowatts. Bosch has designed the supply for forced air cooling. Air taken in via the inlet at the bottom of the unit is forced out at the top by a blower installed in the unit. The ambient temperature for optimal operation is 0 to 40 degrees Celsius. Ambient temperature range for operation with reduced nominal data is 40 to 55 degrees Celsius. Proper spacing is required to maintain smooth airflow for cooling. The minimum recommended distance on the top of the supply unit is 300 millimeters. The minimum recommended distance on the bottom side of the supply unit is 130 millimeters. A 24 Volts DC supply is required for the integrated electronics and for the mains connection On/Off control. Bosch recommends de-energizing installation and securing power switch against unintentional or unauthorized energization. Furthermore, technical staff must wait at least 30 minutes after switching off the supply voltages to allow discharge. Live parts should not be touched before it is verified that the voltage has fallen below 50 Volts. The HMV02.1R-W0016-A-07-NNNN supply unit carries high voltages and currents.
