The add-on module provided in this package enables the drive to work with INDRAMAT digital single-turn encoder (GDS 1.1). Single-turn encoders are widely used in applications where the number of rotations or turns does not matter because these encoders are designed to reset after completion of one encoder turn. HDS04.2-W200N-HA13-01-FW is widely considered in industrial applications where the full span of motion does not surpass the encoder`s single turn.
This variant of the Bosch Rexroth Indramat HDS motion drive controller supports a maximum line length of 75 meters provided that cables from Rexroth Indramat are used. X4 connector provided on this controller is a standard motor feedback connector. You can use this connector to receive feedback signals from RSF OR HSF type Rexroth Indramat motors. If another type of motor is needed to be connected then the user must look for an appropriate plug-in module. The current configuration of this HDS family motion controller comes with two empty slots.
