The Rexroth Indramat HDS02.2-W040N-HS16-01-FW is a 2nd generation HDS series drive controller for the DIAX04 modular system. The combination of a HDS controller in a DIAX04 chassis and an AC motor constitutes the digital drive system which is suited to multiple industrial applications including robotics, textiles and packaging machines. The HDS02.2-W040N-HS16-01-FW has a modular structure and is composed of a software module which contains the firmware, command communications module and three slots for additional plug-in modules. The different plug-in modules which are available for HDS controller include digital I/O, interface cards for measuring systems, interface cards and integrated control cards. Firmware for the controller needs to be ordered with features suited to the customers’ requirements. The HDS02.2-W040N-HS16-01-FW comes with SERCOS command interface which provides interface to the control.
