Rexroth Indramat offers DIAX04 drive controllers that can support a variety of motors, such as 2AD, MKD, MHD, and other servo motors. Because of so much diversity, these digital drive controllers have been used in a wide variety of applications, including machine tools, printing machines, textile, robotics, and others. Divided into two categories, namely HDD and HDS, these drive controllers feature basic unit, software module, command and communication module, configuration type plate, and additional plug-in modules. The HDS drives connect with HVE or HVR power supply. The basic drive unit is the main component of the digital drive controller configured for Indramat’s AC motors. The basic unit determines voltage requirements, power consumption, and current consumption of the entire drive system.
Starting with the basic drive, the HDS02.2-W040N-HA44-01-FW configured drive features a second version of the HDS basic drive with 2 lines. The basic unit has a rated current of 40 amperes and features an internal air cooling unit. The continuous current of this drive (at 4kHz/8kHz) is found to be 20/15 amperes while its power loss is 125 watts. Coming to the other components, this DIAX04 drive controller features an analog command and communication module. This analog interface belongs to type DAE2.1M. There is a HSM software, an operating software meant for drive’s firmware. However, the firmware must be ordered separately. When it comes to additional modules, there is a wide variety of plug-in modules to attach to the drive controller.
The digital drive controller offers IP 10 protection while its insulation category is C. While mounting the drive controller anywhere between 0 and 1000 meters above sea level, it must be ensured that the ambient temperature should be below 45 degrees Celsius and above 5 degrees Celsius.
