The HDS02.1-W040N-HA40-01-FW is an Indramat drive controller of HDS series developed by Bosch Rexroth. With a rated current of 40 A, the HDS version is a servo drive which comprises of multiple sub-parts such as Base Unit Drive Controller, a software module, configuration type plate, a command communications module and provision for up to 3 additional plug-in modules. The model also has a cooling device to maintain the temperature levels of the motor and prevent the machine from damage. The air-cooling type is internal with a built-in blower. The major command communication is an analog that comes with an analog interface.
The controller for this drive controller is of the series DIAX04. The major feature of this controller has is that it enables the creation of compact drive packages by using a flexible combination of the AC drives. HDS drives are, therefore, rapid-response drives which are useful for both main drives and to servo drive scan that is extensively used in robotics, handling machines, textile industries and many more.
Though Bosch Rexroth Indramat supplies the pre-configured drive controllers, it is ensured that the required functions are incorporated by the configuration. While the slots in the basic unit of the drive controller are empty, the software type is HSM which incorporates the drive firmware storing all the drive parameters. Whenever the unit is to be replaced, the software module is inserted to transfer the drive parameters to the replacement unit. The type designation is used to assist in identifying the slots and the components. This configuration type plate keeps a record of type designations of the software modules, basic unit, and configured drive controller along with plug-in module slots. For effective use of the controller, firmware for the drive controller must be ordered separately as and when required. Also, the versions of the function ID are identified and documented by Indramat itself.
