The HDD02.2-W040N-HD32 is a rapid response servo drive that is used for motion control applications. The drive is used with the 1MB, 2AD, MDD, and MKD AC motors manufactured by the company. When these motors are coupled with this HDD drive, their position, speed, and torque are fully automated. In its most basic configuration, the HDD02.2-W040N-HD32 comes with a basic unit, a software module, a command & communications module, and additional empty slots. These slots have been provided for installing the various additional plug-in modules. Plug-in modules extend the system's operation range and make it suitable for specific applications. The drive controller gives the added advantage of the main spindle driver. The main spindle’s rotation and movement can also be controlled with this device.
The system has been designed in accordance with high-quality standards. Its outer enclosure is IP 10 compliant and protects the system’s sensitive components against damage caused by objects as large as 50 mm in size. The device comes with a firmware module that is programmable. This allows the users to program the module and control operational parameters. Because of module-based firmware, it' easy to remove the firmware module from one HDD unit and install it another unit. This helps to replace an HDD unit on very short notice since no programming and reconfiguration is required.
