The HDD02.1-W040N-HD drive controller by Bosch Rexroth operates in conjunction with the manufacturer’s MHD and MKD series of motors. This product can function as either a servo drive or a main drive. The HVR or HVE supply module connected to the unit offers the required power and signal voltages for the functioning of the controller. The housing of the device tends to become extremely hot during operation and can cause burns if touched during operation or immediately after use. The product must be installed only in commercial machinery. The device incorporates a SERCOS interface for its command communication.
The second-generation controller belongs to the DIAX04 controller family. The product must be operated only after the machine in which it is installed adheres to the requirements specified by the application’s safety specifications as well as the requirements indicated by national safety regulations. This device should not be installed in machinery like refinery plants, construction cranes and elevators. It must not be operated even for a brief period without connecting the ground wire permanently. The electrical connection points of the controller’s components should not be touched when the power supply is on.
The drive controller should be protected against direct contact with the equipment in which it is installed. The product has a power consumption of 40W. It has a protection category of IP 10 in compliance with DIN 40 050 specifications. The SERCOS interface helps in operating digital drives along with control units that are compatible with this interface through optical fibers. This interface has a power consumption of 1.5W. The X2 connector acts as a serial interface and helps in the communication between a PC and the controller using suitable software. This is a D-Sub connector with bushings and has 15 pins.
