Product Description
Weighing in at 225 kilograms, or almost 500 pounds, the HCS04.2E-W1240 is a member of the CS, or Compact Series, of Bosch Rexroth Indramat drive controller power sections. The HCS04.2E-W1240 in particular is the second largest member of its classification, and that shows in its output capabilities: in exchange for a rated input of 834 amps at 400 to 480 volts tri-phasic AC, the HCS04.2E-W1240 is capable of outputting 894 amps of tightly modulated electricity for the purpose of controlling servo motors. This output comes at a variable voltage, controllable for the needs of your IndraDrive system. Heavy-duty integrated duct cooling, capable of pulling up to 1800 cubic meters per hour through the system, or less if desired, keeps the HCS04.2E-W1240 in a safe operating temperature range--up to 40 degrees celsius with no derating at all--when inside suitable cabinets of at least 600 millimeter depth.
The typical high-power motor on the business end of a HCS04.2E-W1240, when being run in high continuous load conditions, has a rating of 700 horsepower and a power consumption of 500 kilowatts. This gives it the sheer force necessary to power through high-load industrial operations, a specialty of Bosch Rexroth Indramat IndraDrive equipment. While the HCS04.2E-W1240 is a high-output power station by itself, it is also only one of many parts required to create a fully operational IndraDrive factory. The HCS04.2E-W1240 is compatible with a wealth of Bosch Rexroth Indramat components that take transformed power from this CS power section and can turn it into finished products. Its compact, all-in-one design makes the HCS04.2E-W1240 best-suited to single-axis tasks, but it can be combined with other devices to create cost-effective small axis groups as well.
