IndraDrive Cs drive converters are components of the highly efficient Rexroth IndraDrive drive system by Bosch Rexroth. They are compact units with an integrated brake current measurement and monitoring feature and different interfaces. Hence, they can be tailored to support specific applications. Typically, they are used in general automation, machine tools, and food processing and packaging machines.

The HCS01.1E-W0054-A-03-B-ET-EC-EC-SB-NN-FW is an HCS model in the Bosch Rexroth IndraDrive Cs family of products. It is equipped with a standard control panel whose single-line display shows information on the device's operating status, command error diagnoses, and pending warnings. There are four prominent keys on this control panel used to trigger simple commands and explore other functions of the drive converter. Heat dissipation from the HCS model is by internal cooling via an airflow in the control cabinet into which the drive converter is mounted. It is operated with a three-phase AC mains voltage between 200V and 500V and can accommodate a maximum current of 54A.

Thanks to its Multi-Ethernet master communication module, the  HCS01.1E-W0054-A-03-B-ET-EC-EC-SB-NN-FW supports different Ethernet-based bus systems such as sercos III, EtherCat, EtherNet/IP, and PROFINET IO. It has two multi-encoder interfaces for encoders with 5V and 12V supply voltages. Some of such encoders are the 5V-TTL square-wave encoder with reference track, the sin-cos encoder (1 Vpp) with reference track, the MSK motor encoder, and the MS2N motor encoder. The drive converter’s safety technology module is Safe Motion Bus, and its ideal control sections are those in the BASIC control section range. It belongs to the IP 20 protection category per EN 60529 since it does not admit solid extrinsic objects over 12mm.
