Slot 4 is designated for a safety module. The HCS01.1E-W0054-A-03-A-ET-EC-EC-NN-NN-FW is available in an IP20 rated enclosure that is suited to control cabinet mounting. Bosch recommends mounting by attaching the back-side of the drive controller to the cabinet.
Care must be taken to ensure that heated braking resistors at the back of the controller do not cause damage to heat-sensitive devices installed in the same cabinet. The controller works with a standard control panel. The control section on which the controller is based is an advanced control section. Firmware for the HCS01.1E-W0054-A-03-A-ET-EC-EC-NN-NN-FW is ordered separately. Improper controller use can lead to personal injury and equipment damage. Therefore technical personnel working on the controller must implement all relevant safety instructions laid out in the product manual. To minimize risk of installation errors, only trained personnel should install the drive controller and accessories.
