The HCS drive converters in this family are characterized by their compact size and multiple interfaces that make application-specific use possible. They are typically used in machine tools, printing machines, handling and mounting systems, and food processing and packaging machines.
The HCS01.1E-W0054-A-03-A-CC-EC-ET-L3-NN-FW is an HCS drive converter model with a maximum current rating of 54A. It is built for control sections in the ADVANCED range and allows switching frequencies of 4kHz, 8kHz, and 12kHz. Its compact size supports its convenient mounting within a control cabinet, which has an efficient internal cooling system. The drive converter belongs to the IP 20 protection category in line with EN 60529, indicating that it cannot be penetrated by potentially harmful solid external objects over 12mm. Its Multi-Ethernet module supports different Ethernet-based bus systems, including sercos III, EtherCAT, EtherNet/IP, and PROFINET IO. The master communication module is the sercos master (cross communication).
Firmware use is permitted with the HCS01.1E-W0054-A-03-A-CC-EC-ET-L3-NN-FW, but this must be ordered separately. The drive converter’s multi-encoder interface supports encoder types with supply voltage ratings of 5V and 12V. Some of these are the MSK motor encoder, the MSM motor encoder, the 5V-TTL square-wave encoder with reference track, and the sin-cos encoder (1 Vpp) with EnDat 2.1. User safety is ensured in the drive converter with its Safe Torque Off (STO) safety module. It also has a standard control panel that serves as a programming module and has a single-line display for viewing operating states, command and error diagnoses, and pending warnings.
