Product Description
Components of Bosch Rexroth’s IndraDrive drive system include servo motors, drive converters, power sections, etc. Each component is designed to work seamlessly with others to ensure optimum quality and performance for any application. The HCS drive converters are a series of control units in this system.
The HCS01.1E-W0028-A-03-B-ET-EC-EM-S4-NN-AW is one of the compact drive converters with a Multi-Ethernet communication module designed and manufactured by Bosch Rexroth. This communication module allows its operation with Ethernet field bus systems, such as sercos III PROFINET IO, EtherCAT, and EtherNet/IP. It also has a multi-encoder interface for standard encoder types. They include the MSK motor encoder, the MS2N motor encoder, the sin-cos encoder (1 Vpp) with EnDat 2.1, the sin-cos encoder (1 Vpp) with Hiperface, and the 5V-TTL square-wave encoder with reference track. The supply voltages required for the compatible encoders are 5V and 12V. This HCS model has an encoder emulation interface for emulating absolute value and incremental encoder signals. These signals are further evaluated by a control unit and are galvanically isolated from the circuit board.
Operating the HCS01.1E-W0028-A-03-B-ET-EC-EM-S4-NN-AW requires a three-phase AC mains connecting voltage ranging from 200V and 500V with ±10% tolerance. It accommodates a maximum current of 28A and switching frequencies of 4kHz, 8kHz, 12kHz, and 16kHz. Its cooling is achieved through an internal cooling system in its control cabinet, where it is mounted per the G1 style. This allows natural convection to support the cooling air currents and prevent the formation of potentially damaging heat pockets. Built for control sections in the BASIC range, this HCS model also has an Ingress Protection rating of IP 20 per EN 60529.
