The HCS01.1E-W0028-A-03-B-ET-EC-EM-L4-NN-FW is a drive converter model of the HCS series designed and manufactured by Bosch Rexroth. It supports control sections of the BASIC range and is cooled via an internal cooling system within its control cabinet. Its mounting in this control cabinet is per the G1 mounting style, which allows natural convection to support the forced air cooling current. As a result, the generation of heat pockets in the component is avoided, preventing irreversible damage caused by thermal overload. Like other drive converters in the series, this HCS model belongs to the IP 20 protection class according to EN 60529. This is because it does not permit penetration by solid extrinsic objects over 12mm. Its operation should be done with a three-phase mains connecting voltage that ranges from 200V and 500V with ±10% tolerance.
Standard encoder types, such as the MS2N motor encoder, the sin-cos encoder (1 Vpp) with EnDat 2.1, the sin-cos encoder (1 Vpp) with Hiperface, and the 5V-TTL square-wave encoder with reference track are compatible with the HCS01.1E-W0028-A-03-B-ET-EC-EM-L4-NN-FW. This is because of its multi-encoder interface that is compatible with most encoder types. The drive converter also has a Multi-Ethernet communication module, allowing Ethernet field bus systems like PROFINET IO, EtherCAT, sercos III, and EtherNet/IP. Its encoder emulation interface allows absolute value and incremental encoder signals to be emulated for further evaluation by a control unit.
