Product Description
The HCS01.1E-W0018-A-03-E-S3-EC-NN-L4-AA-FW is a digital drive controller with an economy control section. It is designed by Bosch Rexroth for industrial applications. Typical HCS controller applications include packaging machines, printing machines, handling systems and machine tools. The power supply on the HCS01.1E-W0018-A-03-E-S3-EC-NN-L4-AA-FW is a feeding type supply. Bosch has designed the controller for forced air cooling. A cooling fan on the unit forces air over the heated controller components. For optimal operation HCS controllers require 0 to 40 degrees Celsius temperature. Controller operation with derated output is permitted at temperatures of up to 55 degrees Celsius. To ensure smooth airflow, Bosch requires minimum 90 millimeters spacing on the top and bottom sides of mounted HCS controllers. HCS series devices are IP20 rated and are suited to vertical mounting. Bosch recommends controller mounting by attaching the rear side to the mounting surface.
There are braking resistors at the back of the HCS01 devices. These resistors can become very hot during operation. Therefore operators must ensure that the devices in the control cabinet are at an appropriate distance from the braking resistors. The left-hand or right-hand mounting can be used if the mounting clearance between control cabinet wall and control cabinet front is not sufficient for back-side mounting. However with left-hand or right-hand mounting, operators must ensure that devices are not piled and that each device must have immediate contact to the control cabinet wall. Maximum current output of the HCS01.1E-W0018-A-03-E-S3-EC-NN-L4-AA-FW is 18 Amps. The input voltage range is 200 to 400 Volts AC. Integrated features on the HCS01.1E-W0018-A-03-E-S3-EC-NN-L4-AA-FW include SERCOS/EtherCat communication and a multi-encoder interface. A safety module on the controller supports both safe brake control and safe torque off. A standard control panel is supplied with the HCS01.1E-W0018-A-03-E-S3-EC-NN-L4-AA-FW and the firmware must be ordered separately.
