Bosch Rexroth displays an unrivaled form of mastery in the creation of its drive and motion control products. It is the creator of the HCS drive converters characterized by their compact build and multiple interfaces. They are commonly used in machine tools, food processing and packaging machines, and paper processing and printing machines.

The HCS01.1E-W0018-A-03-B-ET-EC-CN-L4-NN-FW is one of the HCS drive converters designed and manufactured by Bosch Rexroth. It is equipped with the CANopen interface with up to 127 nodes. Thanks to its Multi-Ethernet communication module, the drive converter can also be integrated in several Ethernet field bus systems like PROFINET IO, EtherNet/IP, sercos III, and EtherCAT. Its supported control section type is in the BASIC range, and it utilizes a three-phase mains voltage between 200V and 500V. According to EN 60529, its Ingress Protection rating is IP 20, as it does it permit the penetration of solid extrinsic materials over 12mm.

Given its compact build, the HCS01.1E-W0018-A-03-B-ET-EC-CN-L4-NN-FW is installed within a control cabinet where it is mounted per the G1 mounting position. This allows natural convection to support forced cooling air currents that eliminate the heat generated during the drive’s operation. The safety technology modules in the HCS model are Safe Torque Off (STO) and Safe Brake Control (SBC). It also comes with a multi-encoder interface for standard encoders like the sin-cos encoder (1 Vpp) with EnDat 2.1, the 5V-TTL square-wave encoder with reference track, the sin-cos encoder (1 Vpp) with Hiperface, and the MSM motor encoder. Ideally, its installation height should not exceed 1,000m above mean sea level and the ambient temperature at its site of operation, 40oC.
