Product Description
Bosch Rexroth’s drive and motion control units display impressive operational reliability and performance. The same is true of its HCS drive converters with their compact build and diverse interfaces. They are ideal for machine tools, printing machines, food and packaging machines, and general automation.
The HCS01.1E-W0018-A-02-B-ET-EC-EP-S4-NN-AW is a model of the HCS drive converters featuring an Engineering Port. It tolerates a maximum current of 18A and requires a three-phase mains connecting voltage between 110V and 230V for operation. One of its protective features is the integrated brake current measurement and monitoring feature. It is also safe from damage by the penetration of solid extrinsic materials over 12mm in diameter as its Ingress Protection rating is IP 20, according to EN 60529. Heat dissipation from the drive converter is via forced air ventilation. Since it is installed per the G1 mounting style within a control cabinet, natural convection supports the forced cooling air current and prevents the generation of pockets of heat.
Thanks to its multi-encoder interface, several standard encoders can be connected to the HCS01.1E-W0018-A-02-B-ET-EC-EP-S4-NN-AW. These encoders have supply voltages of 5V and 12V. They include the sin-cos encoder (1 Vpp) with EnDat 2.1, the sin-cos encoder (1 Vpp) with reference track, the MSK motor encoder, and the sin-cos encoder (1 Vpp) with Hiperface. The drive converter is also fitted with a Multi-Ethernet communication module, making it compatible with Ethernet field bus systems, such as EtherCAT, EtherNet/IP, PROFINET IO, and sercos III. Its safety technology option is Safe Motion. It should be installed at a maximum height of 1,000m above mean sea level and operated at a maximum ambient temperature of 40oC.
