Product Description
Bosch Rexroth’s HCS drive converters offer a wide range of interfaces supporting multiple protocols. They are compact units in the IndraDrive drive system with impressive flexibility, as they are compatible with most encoder types. Their target applications cover general automation, machine tools, printing machines, and robotics.
The HCS01.1E-W0013-A-02-B-ET-EC-EM-L3-NN-FW is a drive converter in the HCS series designed and manufactured by Bosch Rexroth. It is equipped with Safe Torque Off (STO), the most cost-effective solution for preventing the drive from restarting unintentionally. Its supported control sections are those in the BASIC range, and it allows firmware use, but this must be ordered separately. The drive converter has a multi-encoder interface for encoder systems with supply voltage ratings of 5V and 12V. These include the sin-cos encoder (1 Vpp) with reference track, the sin-cos encoder (1 Vpp) with EnDat 2.1, the MSK motor encoder, and the MS2N motor encoder. Its mains connecting voltage is a three-phase AC voltage between 110V and 230V.
With its encoder emulation interface, the emulation of absolute value and incremental encoder signals is achieved in the HCS01.1E-W0013-A-02-B-ET-EC-EM-L3-NN-FW. The signals are galvanically isolated from the circuit board and are further evaluated by a control unit. The drive converter interacts with other system components via its Multi-Ethernet communication module. This allows its integration in different Ethernet field bus systems, such as EtherNet/IP, PROFINET IO, EtherCAT, and sercos III. The activities of these bus systems are monitored via LEDs. According to EN 60529, the Ingress Protection rating of the drive converter is IP 20, indicating that it cannot be penetrated by solid extrinsic materials over 12mm. Its maximum current rating is 13A.
