The Bosch HCS01.1E-W0009-A-02-A-CC-EC-PB-S4-NN-FW is a modular drive controller. It is part of the IndraDrive product line. The controller has slots for several plug in modules. It comes from the factory with several pre-installed modules. A multi-encoder interface allows operators to use the controller with several standard encoders. A communication module with a Profibus interface allows connection to Profibus networks. A safety module enables safe motion support. This module enables a host of safety features that include safe torque off, safe stop, safely limited speed, safe direction and safely limited position. Furthermore, dual-channel safety peripherals can be connected to the drive and made available to the controller via the safety bus. A standard control panel can be used to program and monitor the unit. The standard control panel has a single-line display.

Operators can also order advanced control panels for controller that support them. These control panels support hot plug and have more memory for data and code. The HCS01.1E-W0009-A-02-A-CC-EC-PB-S4-NN-FW cools via convection cooling and dissipates heat inside the cabinet. For this reason operators must either use large cabinets or rely on air-conditioning to keep ambient temperature with permitted limits.
