The Bosch HCS01.1E-W0008-A-03-A-CC-EC-PB-L4-NN-FW is a digital drive controller. Its input rating is 200 to 500 Volts AC. The controller only works with three-phase AC input. Its maximum output rating is 8 Amps. The controller is available in an IP20 rated enclosure that is designed for vertical mounting. It cools via forced-air cooling. Cool air enters through an inlet at the bottom and exits through an outlet at the top of the controller. Large cabinets are required as the heated air is released inside the cabinet. The HCS01.1E-W0008-A-03-A-CC-EC-PB-L4-NN-FW supports several hardware-based and software-based features. Hardware-based features are enabled by plug in modules that install in designated slots on the unit. The master communication interface on the controller is SERCOS. A Profibus module is also installed on the unit.

The controller is also equipped with a multi-encoder interface module that allows controller use with a wide range of Bosch servo motors. Firmware for the HCS01.1E-W0008-A-03-A-CC-EC-PB-L4-NN-FW must be ordered separately. Operators can use a standard control panel to configure and monitor the controller during operation.
