Product Description
The Bosch HCS01.1E-W0005-A-03-B-ET-EC-NN-L4-AA-FW is an advanced drive controller. Motors that operators can use with HCS controllers include those from the MSK, MCL, MSM, MS2N series from Bosch, and some motors manufactured by third-party vendors. All HCS controllers features a multi-encoder interface that works with all standard motor encoders including Hiperface, EnDat 2.2, EnDat 2.1, MSM, SSI, BiSS and MS2N encoders. HCS encoders are available in compact housings that belong to the IP20 protection category. The controllers are suited to vertical mounting. The mounting options include left-hand mounting, right-hand mounting and back-side mounting. Bosch recommends back-side mounting of HCS controllers. The left-hand or right-hand mounting (left or right side of device directly mounted to mounting surface in control cabinet) can be used if the mounting clearance between control cabinet wall and control cabinet front is insufficient for back-side mounting.
The HCS01.1E-W0005-A-03-B-ET-EC-NN-L4-AA-FW controller also features Multi-Ethernet communication. A safety module installed in slot 3 supports both safe torque off and safe brake control. Safe torque off is a mechanism that prevents the drive from restarting unexpectedly. The safe torque off function safely clears the output of the drive so it is reliably torque-free. Safe brake control (SBC) supplies a safe output signal to drive an external mechanical brake. The brakes used must be “safety brakes”, in which a quiescent current operates against a spring. The brake will engage if the current flow is interrupted. The HCS01.1E-W0005-A-03-B-ET-EC-NN-L4-AA-FW works with a standard control panel that operators can use to program the controller. Firmware for the HCS01.1E-W0005-A-03-B-ET-EC-NN-L4-AA-FW is ordered as a separate item. The controller dissipates heated air inside the cabinet. Its maximum output current rating is 5 Amps. The maximum connection voltage is 200 to 500 Volts AC (three-phase).
