The DMA 85B 1301-D is a new generation industrial drive controller designed by Rexroth Indramat. The inverter operates by amplifying the electrical power it sends to the industrial motor based on the configuration parameters in the control unit. The drive controller can effectively operate synchronous motors of type SF and SR and asynchronous motor with integrated absolute encoder. The drive controller can also be connected with a direct measuring system.  The DMA 85B 1301-D drive controller also features a modular design which makes the servicing and maintenance of the motor very easy as faulty components can be easily removed and replaced. The housing of the drive controller can effectively prevent the penetration of the human touch and any other solid material larger than 50 millimeters.

The DMA 85B 1301-D drive controller operates with a closed-loop motor feedback system, which means that it independently adjust the movement of the motor when it deviates from the specified operating parameters. The configuration parameters sent into the drive controller are stored in a sophisticated memory card that is capable of holding more than 10 megabytes of information. The memory card increases the efficiency of the servo system by reducing the start-up time of the drive controller after it has been turned off.

The DMA 85B 1301-D can be operated with either a regulated voltage of 670 volts and an unregulated voltage of about 715 volts. Under normal conditions, this controller can operate with a rated current of about 22Amperes and an unregulated voltage of 86 Amperes. the controller should not be installed at a height higher than 1000 meters about sea level as this can cause the motor to operate below the normal technical data.
