Product Description
The DM 8K 4101-D is a drive controller manufactured by Rexroth Indramat to control the speed, acceleration, and position of synchronous and asynchronous spindle motors in industrial machines. The drive is a member of the Servodyn-D drive series. It is renowned for its durability, flexibility, and its ability to stimulate the servo motors' rotation over a broad speed range.
The DM 8K 4101-D drive controller uses an input regulated voltage of 670 Volts and an input current of 2.5Amperes for its operation. The drive controller is designed with a sophisticated control unit that controls the activities of the holding brake. A specialized plug braking module controls the braking of the servo motor if there is a mechanical or electrical error in the drive controller. The drive controller is also connected to a braking resistor that converts excess regenerated electrical energy in the power circuit to heat energy. The controllers should be installed vertically with their connection ports facing outwards, this installation technique is simple, and it makes servicing and maintenance of the drive controller-less complicated.
The drive controller uses an analog 16-bit resolution interface to communicate with the control system; it works with a standard encoder, which constantly reports the working condition of the servo motor to the drive controller in real-time through special fiber optic cables. The drive controller contains a memory card that holds firmware information that helps the controller carry out its processing function. Only properly trained technicians should handle the firmware module as a mismatch between the firmware module and the servo motor can damage the drive controller. The drive controller weighs about 6 kilograms. This unit can be shipped globally with a one-year warranty period from Wake Industrial.
