Product Description
The DKR03.1-W200B-BE43-02-FW from Rexroth Indramat uses an RS-232 and the RS-485 serial interface to enhance its functionality. The serial interface links the drive controller to the PC and acts as the communication medium between the two. The RS-232 is used for parameterization, programming, and diagnosis during servicing and commissioning of the drive. This interface enables the drive to be: connected to more operators’, i.e. when the drive is being operated through a drive top, it is parameterized through the RS-232 interface enabling many users. Increase the transmission length to a distance of up to 15metres. And increase the rates of transmission to a rate of 9600/19200 baud.
The RS-485 enables the DKR03.1-W200B-BE43-02-FW drive to: Implement a serial bus with more than 30 users linked through two-wire lines, i.e. it can power on the drive through the drive top without having any cable connection from the interface. Increase the drive's transmission length up to 500 meters. Increase the transmission rate to 9600/19200 baud and implement the PC visualization unit. Having the above in mind, only two solutions are available when using the drive controller with the RS-485: Selecting an RS-232/RS-485 converter to link the PC to the servo drive or using an RS-485 plug-in card to connect the PC.
When connecting the DKR03.1-W200B-BE43-02-FW to the motor feedback consider the following: use specific cables manufactured by Rexroth Indramat with lengths of 75 meters, control and configure the drive with combination specified in the drive control manual. Rexroth Indramat cables are integrated with shielded leads and can hold the temperatures and the braking activities when the machine is in operation. The use of unsupported connection cables may lead to damage to the drive control. This unit can be shipped globally with a one-year warranty period from Wake Industrial.
