The DKR02.1-W300B-BE74-02-FW model is designed to control and monitor the operations of several Indramat electrical motors. The DKR drive controller also monitors motor temperature and holding brake. In case of any emergency, the controller turns on the dynamic braking feature to avoid any accident. The DKR drive controller should be operated under prescribed ambient conditions to avoid any malfunction. The model can be configured according to the requirements by installing various plug-in modules into the 5 plug-in slots of the basic unit. The software module ESM 02.3 is installed into the U5 slot of the drive controller and it contains all of the operating parameters of the drive. The software module must be ordered separately according to an appropriate type code. The SERCOS interface is installed into the U1 slot of the controller which provides real-time communication between the drive controller, motor, and other input/output devices. The protection category of the controller is IP 20 that provides resistance against 12.5 mm dust particles.
The model DKR02.1-W300B-BE74-02-FW is not protected against water that’s why it should be mounted into the switch cabinet. The internal circuit of the drive controller operates at the rated current of 300 A, and a blower unit is placed inside the controller for cooling purposes. A bleeder resistor is also installed in this unit and a digital servo and resolver feedback is placed for indirect position detection in the electrical motor.
