The DKR 2.1-W300N-BE37-00 is a rapid response servo drive intended for speed and position control applications. The device is intended for position and speed control tasks in printing machines and numerically controlled CNC machine tools. The drive controller has an inbuilt blower fan that is used to control the heat accumulation within the device. Through forced ventilation, the device is able to remove heat at a fast pace. A cooling duct is also provided to ensure that the heat removal process is efficient. Cooling can be accomplished through air and duct cooling. This model proves to be effective when used with paper printing machines, textile machinery, woodworking machinery, and numerically controlled machines. Regenerative braking is also possible because of an integrated brake resistor. The brake resistor proves to be an efficient secondary braking mechanism that can control the motor speed in case of mains failure.
The DKR 2.1-W300N-BE37-00 has separate slots for the firmware module, auxiliary plug-in cards, and command & communications modules. The software module is able to store the critical drive parameters. It is possible to insert the software module in a replacement DKR unit if an existing unit malfunction and needs to be replaced. The drive parameters remain stored in the firmware module and can be instantly utilized in the new unit. This eliminates the need to re-program the drive unit. Owing to specially designed I/O modules, the drive is able to exchange data in both directions. To extract an SSI signal output, multiturn encoders can be utilized with this servo drive.
