Product Description
The FWA-ECODR3-SMT-02V48-D5 is an application specific firmware for Bosch ECODRIVE03 controllers which are specially designed for machine tool applications and which have integrated parallel, analog and SERCOS interfaces. Bosch also provides firmware which are suited to other applications for drives which have a different combination of interfaces. This is the reason that Bosch requires that the firmware be ordered separately from the drive so that the specific customer requirement can be satisfied. The drive firmware is located in the firmware module. This means that the firmware module from a faulty drive can be installed in a replacement drive which prevents having to reprogram the new drive and therefore minimizes downtime. ECODRIVE03 drives are available in three output current ratings: 40 Amps, 100 Amps and 200 Amps.
ECODRIVE03 controllers are high power electrical devices. Therefore it is imperative that the safety instructions provided in the drive documentation be followed so that equipment damage and injury to personnel may be avoided. Persons with pacemakers or metal implants should not be allowed to go near operating ECODRIVE03 controllers. The documentation for ECODRIVE03 controllers also includes recommendations for ambient operation conditions. If the drives are operated within the ambient limits defined in the documentation then the drives will provide rated values at output and will also perform reliably in the long term. However if the drives are not operated within the ambient conditions recommended by Bosch then the drive output will derate and the drives could also suffer damage. The recommended ambient operating temperate range is from 0 to 45 degrees Celsius. The drives operate with derated output between 45 and 55 degrees Celsius. Operation of the drives above 55 degrees Celsius is not recommended. This unit can be shipped globally with a one-year warranty period from Wake Industrial.
