Product Description
The increasingly complicated requirements of servomotors in automation applications has been a continuous motivation for Rexroth Indramat manufacturing to update the performance of their servomotor series. The DKC series of drive controllers were designed to ensure compliance in performance of these servomotors. This has ensured Rexroth Indramat’s position as a top automation equipment manufacturer, due to the high-performance metrics and reliability of these DKC drives.
Like other Rexroth products, the DKC servo drives are characterized in performance and design by their name code. The DKC22.3-040-7-FW indicates a DKC servo-controller-type product, which is a part of the 22nd series and 3rd version of this drive-type. This shows that the DKC22.3-040-7-FW is an updated drive, which is designed with more recent and efficient manufacturing techniques. Also, it comes with the following connectivity/interface options: an analog interface, a SERCOS-interface-2 for high speed transmission and real-time multi-networking, and a RS232 / RS485* connector.
As with most DKC drives, it has two ports “X4 and X8” for receiving servo-motor encoder outputs to better improve its accuracy in positional and translational control. This servo-drive is rated with a type-current of 40A and a voltage category of ‘7’. This implies it is more suitable for motors with low current requirements for speed and torque responses. While 40A is the highest peak current for this drive, it can also be tuned through its switchable frequency to deliver either 16A or 12.5A of current at 4kHz and 8kHz respectively. Since it comes with protective circuitry for both the connected motor and it (input from the mains), this drive fully ensures a good level of reliability across its application within an ECODRIVE03 system. This product is available from Wake Industrial with a one-year warranty period.
