Product Description
The DKCxx.3 is a series of Rexroth Indramat servomotor controllers designed and integrated within the ECODRIVE03 series of drive systems. The ECODRIVE03 family of drives are compact, rugged and cost-efficient. With common applications across industrial packaging, assembly and machine tools, the ECODRIVE03 systems are well regarded for their ease of operation, maintainability, and reliability.
The DKC21.3-016-7-FW belongs to the DKCxx.3 series, which is a 3rd version DKC servo drive. It belongs to the 21st series of the same drive, which is integrated with the newest forms of connectors and technology. In the case of this drive, it comes with an analog interface, a parallel interface 2, and the RS232/485 interface. The RS232/485 allows for easy connection with a PC for diagnostics and other software related troubleshooting/transfers. This drive supports up to two simultaneous encoder connections and electrical connections in either single source supply, group supply or a central supply option.
This servo controller has a peak current output of 16A, and this ensures it limits its drive control when connected with low-current servo motors within the MKD and MSK ranks. As indicated by the ‘FW’ in its type-code, this servo-drive requires its firmware options to be specified and ordered separately; however, most DKC drives have similar firmware options. When integrated within the ECODRIVE03 system, the DKC21.3-016-7-FW performs significantly better due to its coupling with a bleeder or capacitive module. These modules also work to remove excess regenerative energy, which could limit the operations of the servo drive. While this drive uses a DC voltage in the range of 12v – 28v for its control logic, it requires an AC voltage as its mains input. Fitted with protective circuitry for over-current and over-voltage occurrences, this servo-drive is optimized to ensure exactness in all its applied automation operations. This product is available from Wake Industrial with a one-year warranty period.
